An exhibition from the Maria and Ela Yasni collection: 10 years of Israeli Studio Glass.
A non-continuous look at the basis, present and future of our being.

The collection is named after two girls; lost in the holocaust, age 12 and 10.
The father of those two girls, A. Wolf Yasni, historian and journalist, survived the extinction of his family, raised a new one and named his living children after those who are dead and moved them to a newly founded country: the Jewish state.

20 years he managed to live his new life in his new country. The one hand occupied with the dead, the other nurturing the living.

This man was my father and the art collection that belongs to my family is named after his former life, his two lost daughters.

On the bridge between the Holocaust Commemoration Day and Remembrance Day we chose to exhibit works that deal with the aesthetics of memory.
Part of the works, as stated, was chosen from the collection whilst the others are comprised of newly created works keeping with the theme.
